Happy New Year
Happy New Year from the Miner family...Our New Year's Eve celebrations are a little tamer than they used to be...We will be in the house with the kids & Sophie eating dinner, playing the wii system (poorly of course) and watching Sophie be Sophie...Sounds like a fun night...Now on to football...I will be the 1st to admit to not being a big college football fan for the regular season but I do enjoy the traditions of the bigger bowl games...The Tito's Nasty Toe Nail Removal Shop Bowl doesn't do it for me though...Turning to the pro ranks of football, I'm not that disappointed that the Patriots got shutout of the playoffs due to the Jets & Brett Favre choking, they had a good season with all the injuries they suffered...I can't wait til next season...My picks for the Superbowl are the Giants and the Colts...Where will Archie & Mrs. Manning stand or sit at that one...I hope we will find out...Have a great 2009 & may you stick to your resolutions for at least the weekend...See you on the radio...Dan

Ho Ho Ho
I just wanted to drop a couple of lines of Christmas cheer to you, the blog reader...I'm looking forward to spending time with the family over the next few days...I can't wait to see my granddaughter, Sophie, having a blast on Christmas day...She has been under the weather for the past week and she is finally feeling better...I've got a few memories of Christmas' past for ya...When I was a younger "Danny Miner" and was an alter boy with my brother Eric in Troy at St. Francis de Sales, midnight mass on Christmas eve was always a big deal...My brother was the shortest alter boy among the guys, so he had the important duty of holding the baby Jesus thru the mass...We went thru rehearsals and we were waiting in the basement of the church to get things going and my brother was tossing the baby Jesus with another one of the alter boys like a football...One of the priest came down to see what was happening and Eric got thwacked...Funny stuff...I'm having a great belly laugh as I write this...My grandmother, the late Sally Juckett, always had a big Christmas Eve party and when I 1st started in radio in Ticonderoga, I was the low man on the totem pole and worked on Christmas Eve on the air...She called me up when I was on the air and asked me to play "her" song...So of course I did it and she would tell everyone at the party that I was playing her song, Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer...I'm still belly laughing...One more to go here...I've told this one on the air a few times...It was the last Christmas that I spent with my father in 1977...Our house in Gull Bay in Putnam had this huge ceiling that went up 30 feet next to a set of stairs...He decided to go cut our Christmas tree to go up the 30 feet next to the stairs...He didn't measure it...He got the tree into the house and it, the tree, was a least 35 feet tall, probably more...He was fueled by Genny, took out the chain saw, started it up in the house and made the necessary trims...Good times...But wait, there's more...Once the tree was in the house for a day or 2, the critters that were in the tree dormant decided to come out and infest the house...Good times...Good lessons to learn from that...I'm looking forward to making some new Christmas memories that don't involve infestations or tossing a baby Jesus around...Maybe Elmo & Patsy will get together for old time sake and write a new Christmas classic, "Papa Got Run Over By A Reindeer"...I won't mind it one bit...Have a Merry Christmas...See you on the radio...Dan

No moaing or griping here
It's 7:15 on a Saturaday morning and I'm just waiting for some more daylight to pop up so I can go out here at the Miner homestead and snowblow for a couple of hours...I refuse to complain about the moving of snow...This is life in the North Country...It's gonna snow...It's the time of the year when everyone around the Radio Ranch beats up on me about not ever watching "A Christmas Story"...I am making a serious effort to watch it but I will make no promises...I just found out a couple of minutes ago that my wife, Lisa, has not watched it either...I knew she was perfect for me...Hockey is making headlines again in Glens Falls...Here's what I have to say about it...No comment...Thanks to everyone that had anything to do with our Adopt-A-Child program and with or annual Morning Club Celebrity Auction...There are many kids that will be thanking you come Thursday morning...Thanks...See you on the radio...Dan

It's been a long time...
In know it has been awhile since I posted, Pete isn't sure whre the on/off toggle switch is. This time of the year around "The Radio Ranch" is just crazy. 800 children were adopted for the Adopt-A-Child program this year. I must send out some special Thank You's. Debbie Cameron at the GFPD. Debbie checks in all the gifts when they come in. Wendy Matthews of Operation Santa Claus. Wendy is in charge of getting the list of children to us. With everything else that goes on with Op Santa, it is a huge undertaking. Ken "The Mule" Leccese. Ken has been busy bringing gifts from the radio station over to the police station. Ken has brought over at least 15 truck loads of gifts. Dave Petta at Fitzgerald Brothers Beverages. Dave came up with the idea for the Adopt-A-Child program over 9 years ago. This program is bigger than I ever thought it would be. Thanks for getting behind this community effort Dave. And one more Thank you to all that adopted children, Thanks for all you have done. Our next big deal is our 10th Annual Morning Club Celebrity Auction. It's coming up on the 11th & 12th. Listen for all the details. I'll also put a complete listing of all the items up for auction this weekend. I have a couple of Post-Thanksgiving thoughts. NFL...Puh-leeze take the Lions off the Turkey Day games...Enough is enough...Idots that are rude during holiday shopping, check it at your door, try to be civil...I must convince my wife to cook a turkey...We had dinner at my mother-in-law's & at my parents but I really miss the leftovers and turkey sandwiches...That's it for now...See you on the radio...Dan

Where was Leccese?
I'll start off by saying thanks to Ken for filling in for me while I was away on vacation...Now on to my "Where was Leccese?" questions...Where was Leccese when he was picking Indy over Tennessee on Monday night? He must have been drinking some dead pond water somewhere with that outstanding pick...Thanks for nothing Kenny...The second "Where was Leccese?" question is, Ken I didn't see you on the field at Lake George High School at Bearskin Bowl III, did you play? I didn't even have the chance to hit you once...Maybe next year...I want to send out a special thank you to the Bearskin Bowl folks for the invite again this year...If you'll have us again, we'll be there...Now on to the NFL...The Morning Club's picks for this week...Pete & I both like the Bills & the Giants to win...Pete likes the Pats and I like the Colts to win on Sunday night...The Monday nighter we disagree...Pete likes the Steelers and I like the Skins...You know, for about 2 hours on Wednesday night, I was 17 again, playing some football and forgetting that I was a 43 year old grandfather...I was back to being Danny Miner for 2 hours...Thanks...See you on the radio...Dan

Thanks
I'm taking a few days off to go to do what I call "catching"! Most others call it "fishing". Not me. I'm letting Ken do my football picks for this week, so I'll let him get you up to date on the picks for the weekend. On the topic of football, coming up on Wednesday night under the lights at Lake George High School at 6pm, a bunch of old guys, some older than others, that are the faculty of the Warrensburg and Lake George schools will be getting together to play some flag football to benefit a Lake George family that has a bad run of it in the past year and to benefit Operation Santa Claus from Warrensburg and Lake George. I'm switching teams this year, I was part of a "trade" with Mark Bliebtrey, a fellow Whitehaller. It doesn't matter which team I'm on. Getting out for the night, playing some football, seeing some old friends and raising some money for some folks is more than enough for me. Playing football is something I've always enjoyed from the time I was a little kid in Troy playing Pop Warner, to playing for The Ticonderoga Sentinels in middle school, to playing for The Whitehall Railroaders and winning the 1982 Super Bowl versus Mechanicville at East Field, playing football Sunday afternoons at the playground in Whitehall for more years than I can remember and coaching at Whitehall for a few years. Even at 43, I've got to send a special Thank you out to all of my coaches, my teammates and my players that have been with me all these years. Thanks to all of you. While on the topic of thanks, my 11th anniversary at WCKM is Monday October 27th. In radio, 11 years at the same station is almost unheard of. Some of my best friends in the world I get to work with on a daily basis. Pete, Festus, Ken, Brian, Mike, Mark, Max & Steve as well as everyone else at the ranch, thanks for making the last 11 years very memorable ones. I also want to send out sincere thanks to all of our loyal listeners and sponsors. Without you, I don't have a clue what I'd be doing. Keep your fingers crossed that I'll be able to walk on Thursday and that Ken doesn't get in my way. See you on the radio...Dan

What is Ringo thinking? Bubba behave!
We, Pete & I, have had alot of fun at Ringo Starr's expense...My question all week long has been, "Is there that much demand for Ringo's autograph that he has to warn people not to ask for an autograph?"...Why did he have to bother to issue a statement or do a youtube video...I'm warning you with Peace & Love...John Lennon is probably tolling over in his grave with laughter...I know he was the drummer for the greatest band in the history of rock n roll but he has flipped his lid...He should be somewhat thankful that anyone still remembers him enough to ask him for an autograph...The least talented of all the Beatles demanding all this attention...This makes me almost wish Paul was back in the news with what's her name...Don't worry Ringo, I've made my last request with Peace & Love...Another thing We had fun with this week was Brian Delaney's voice mail message calling off on Monday night after a hard night of Livin' La Vida Loca...Ricky Martin must be rolling over in his grave after Brian's call(I know he isn't dead yet, but I'm getting a head start on the rush)...Like my grandma used to say, "If you're going to pee with the seat down, you'll have a wet seat next time?"...No, the one I was thinking of was, "If you're gonna play, you're gonna pay!!!"...Thanks Brian for some fun at your expense...We've been pals for 25 years and you still crack me up...If you haven't checked out Brian's Blogs yet, do so...They are funny...As far as the Morning Club's football picks for the week, Pete & I agree on all of them...The Giants, The Jets, The Buc & The Patriots...I can't remember about the Bills/Chargers game...I don't think it matters much...With Peace & Love, I''ll see you on the radio...Dan

The Club's picks for another week
Last week, we, Pete & me, picked our games for the weekends NFL games and they were the same...Boring...This week it's not as bad...The Jets take on the Bengals and we both pick the Jets to win...You notice, we didn't say we both like the Jets...Sunday night, the team we both root for, the New England Patriots, go out west to take on the San Diego Chargers...I took me awhile before I agreed with Pete that we will both pick the Pats...The Monday night match-up has the NY Giants at Cleveland to take on the Browns...I'm staying on the Giants bandwagon until they take a dumper but Pete thinks this is the week the G-men go down to the Browns...Go Giants...That's all I've got for now...See you on the radio...Dan

Are you worthy of a Fist Bump?
Monday night TV viewing and dvr-ing is a scream at my house...From 8 til 10, both CBS & NBC are dvr-ed...I usually watch the CBS shows live because at half-an-hour a pop, I can commit to watching and I know there will be a quiz with both Ken & John Pratt...Last night during "How I Met Your Mother", Barney was in New Jersey with the rest of the crew and he had a very lame pun and was looking for the Fist Bump...The art of the Fist Bump is something that men & women that participate in the art of the Fist Bumping should know the rules...If you are lame and request a Fist Bump, you should be left hanging and have your Fist Bumping privileges taken away...Men & women Fist Bump way too much...We have the NY Yankees to blame for this cultural epidemic...During their great run in the late 1990's & 2000's, Joe Torre & the team took the Fist Bump to artistic greatness...Now I have people around the ranch that want to Fist Bump for the littlest thing..Ken wanted me to Fist Bump the other day for something like breathing...Brian wanted a Fist Bump for doing his job...Another staffer(who shall remain nameless) wanted a Fist Bump for showing up on time...Mike wanted a Fist Bump for saying hi to a lady...Enough is enough...You'll get a Fist Bump when you deserve one...Until then, I'm going to leave you hanging...Here's to your arm being sore for awhile...See you on the radio...Dan

Trying to hold off on the heat and more
I tried to hold off on turning the heat on at our house as long as I could but on Friday night when the temperatures hit the low 40's, my cement head had to give in to my wife...Lisa wins every time...She's just much smarter than me...If there is one chore I hate doing, it's raking leaves...I try not to do it...I usually take out the lawn mower and put the bag on it and mulch them and put them in the barrel and put them out front...I' not looking forward to doing it...I think my godson, LT, will be making a couple of bucks from his Uncle Dan...Now onto the Morning Club's picks for the NFL this week...Not alot of fun here this week for Pete and me...We agree that the Giants will beat the Seahawks...The Cards will bounce back and beat the Bills...The Pats go out west and take out the 49ers...And we both like the Saints at home Monday night over the Vikings in a slugfest...Sorry about that...Hopefully I won't be the sorry one come Monday when Pete & I check out our pool standings...The Curse Of Cloutier is sleeping this weekend I hope...One more thing, Happy belated birthday Dave Thomas, you old coot...That's it for now...See you on the radio...Dan

I pulled a Homer Simpson-Duh-oh!
I tried to get our week 4 picks in and my laptop went on the fritz...Here comes the picks for the NFL...Pete & I both liked the Bills over the Rams and the Jets over the Cards...Pete had the Bears & I had the Eagles and the Monday nighter I've got the Ravens & Pete has the Steelers...Or maybe it's the opposite...The concert on Friday night at the Dome was so much fun...To watch guys that have been lifelong friends get up on stage to re-create some magic for a night is just awesome...Pete has worked with all of these folks since they were kids and I've known all of them since I was a kid...It was a great night...I want to send out a special thanks to Jesse Fish & his crew that did the Adopt-A-Child motorcycle ride this past Saturday...$1,000 was raised to purchase gifts for the kids at Christmas...My D-V-R is on overload for the early part of the new tv season...I record alot of shows then pick which ones are worth watching again along with my old favorites...When I had my VCR, I never recorded anything, now I record alot to accomodate my schedule...That's all I've got...See you on the radio...Dan

Week 3 of the NFL and other stuff?
Here we go for picks for the 3rd week of the NFL season...I have a 2 game lead on Pete on the season's picks...It should be noted that Dave Thomas was in for Pete, so I'll use Dave's picks...Both of us like the Giants will beating the Rams silly...We both took the Patriots over the Dolphins...Now the fun stuff...Dave took the Raiders over the Bills and I'm getting on the Bills bandwagon this week...The Monday nighter has the Jets going out to the west coast to take on the very unlucky Chargers...Before I go any further, Dave knows nothing and I mean nothing about football...Dave is taking the Jets on the west coast and I'm going with the Chargers to get lucky and win...Now to other stuff...It'll be a busy week with all sorts of season debuts for shows on the boob tube and a weekend that is jammed with all sorts of fun stuff to do...I just hope this weekend's weather goes thru next week...Concert a Crandall Park on Friday...The Motorcycle ride for the Adopt-A-Child program on Saturday and The Taste Of The North Country on Sunday...Keep your fingers crossed...That's it for now...See you on the radio...Dan

The Club's picks for week 2 of the NFL
Last week, Pete & I had the same picks for the week...Not a lot of fun there...So here we go for week 2...The 1st game is The NY Giants vs The St. Louis Rams...The Gmen looked good for the 1st 3 drives then...The just stink...We both like the Giants...The next game has The Buffalo Bills against The Jacksonville Jaqs...Neither of us had the Bills or the Jags right last week...In a coin flip we both took the Jags...Next up is a game that had the potential to be a big one til Brady went down & out for the Pats for the season...I am a lifelong Patriots fan...Pete became one when Doug Flutie came back a few years ago...Pete said right away...The Pats easy over the Jets...I had to think long and hard...A big chore on any day for me...I finally picked the Pats by 3...I hope I'm right on this one or it could be a long week...The final game we'll pick this week is the Monday nighter with the Philadelphia Eagles at the Dallas Cowboys...Pete is going with Don Henley & Glenn Frey and the Eagles...I believe in curses or jinxes or superstitions but I don't believe Jessica Simpson is any of those...With that being said I'm going with the Cowboys...I hope watching football will be better...I won't be watching any of the pre-game shows...I've got to watch some paint dry instead...See you on the radio...Dan

Bad Football & Even Worse TV
My New England Patriots opened the season with a win but suffered a huge loss..The Jets-Dolphins and the Bills-Seahawks games to open Sunday football around here on regular TV just stunk...The Cowboys-Browns stunk just as well...The NBC pre-game with Dan & Keith and Bob & Chris should go without Dan & Keith...I used to like the 2 of them on Sportscenter but that was just awful...I turned the channel over to Fox for the show Hole In The Wall...Could this be the worst show ever...A new all-time low...Even for Fox...I hope next Sunday's viewing & games will be better even if Tom Brady is sitting in his La-Z-Boy just like me on a Sunday...See you on the radio...Dan

My picks for the weekend
I don't know if I'm as brave as Ken to give you upset specials, I want you to keep your trophies(read his blog to figure it out) and your money...I picked the Giants to win on Thursday...Pete didn't...But we both pickes these games for the local NFL teams...Here you go...The Pats over the Chiefs...The Jets downing the Dolphins and the Seahawks beating the Bills...Let's go Pats...That's all for now...See you on the radio...Dan

It's time for some football and other things
As a NY Yankee fan, I'm ready for the NFL season to get underway...I'm a bit on edge about the team I root for, the New England Patriots...I'm also looking forward to the high school football season...Ken Leccese is one of the most in-the-know people on what is happening on the high school football scene around here...I just love the game...I do miss calling the games but Ken & Brian do a great job...Hey, I gotta keep things short, my grand daughter is waiting for me to come to dinner, I want to say thanks to an old friend, Glenn Merkosky, for bringing the Stanley Cup into town this Friday...For those that know Merk, this isn't a surprise...He's a Glens Falls guy...I still mis having a team of our own though...Thanks Merk...I gotta go...Sophie's waiting...See you on the radio...Dan

Burning flags and more
Last week, a friend of ours, woke up to find someone went onto his front porch, removed his American flag and set it on fire...When I heard about it, it set me off for a bunch of reasons...The fact that someone set that flag on fire while our friend was asleep with his wife and young daughter in the house deeply upset me...What a coward...They won't have had a chance if the flag somehow got on the house and caught it on fire...I'm am speachless about the whole thing...On Friday when Pete and I started to talk about it, the phone calls came in from folks offering money for a reward for infor for the arrest and coviction of those involved...It's time like this that I remember why we chose to live here...It was heartwarming during a time when I was just very angry for our friend...Hopefully someone will chirp about it or someone knows what happened and could use over $850...It's Washington County Fair week...I love the Maple House...I'm into anything with maple...When you're at the Fair this week, stop by and get something and think about me...I love Maple...I know Ken & Brian are getting set for another season of high school football on WWSC...I miss doing the games...The new surface at Glens Falls High School along with the new bleachers and press box, I know Ken & Brian will be ready for the 1st game there...I'm going to try to have the guys post their pro football picks every week so that you can pick against us...I'll let you know...That's it for now...See you on the radio...Dan

Vacations, Storms and more...Oh my!
I just got back from vacation on Cape Cod and it was fantastic...We even went into Boston one day and went to the Aquarium...I had never been there before and it was alot of fun, even for a 43 year old...We lucked out on the weather there with only one day a washout and that was the day we went to Boston...Speaking of weather, have you ever seen a summer with as many storms...Unreal...I feel bad for anyone that has come to the area for a little vacation and has been stormed upon...The Tri-County Mens Softball Championships are scheduled, weather permitting, in Whitehall on Monday & Tuesday...Good luck to Mike Rovelli & the crew in Whitehall to get the field in order...One final note...Our deepest condolences to the family of Roy Akins on his recent passing...Without Roy starting up the Broadcasting program at ACC, there is a good chance that many, like me, wouldn't be in radio today...Thanks Roy...See you on the Radio...Dan

Time to Jam, Drive and watch where I'm going!
It is nuts around the radio ranch this time of the year...1st there's Summer Jam 2008...For 21 years on the 3rd of July everyone gets together for some rock n' roll, friends & fireworks...This year I absolutely love the line-up...Classic rock with RGB 3 with Shawn Kelly...Then the Kings Of Stupid Mountain...I wonder if I'll get to sing with the boys...Then Dave McDonnell, Joey Delsignore & Paul Muse of the Marcabes with their friends...Max, Cluctch, Gator & Eddie...I can't wait to listen & see the guys...Paul Muse is one of the best musicians ever out of this area...The guys have been practicing hard and are looking forward to playing the Jam crowd...The headliners are Beginnings, the best Chicago tribute band in the country...We are also working with the world famous Alonzo Fireworks folks out of Mechanicville...For $3 you won't find a better deal this summer...I hope to see you there...On top of getting ready for Summer Jam, our 9th annual Morning Club celebrity go-cart race at Adventure Racing is coming up quick on July 22nd...To watch 30 plus adults get out and race in go-carts for 6 charities is a blast...It's fun and easy to get into...Just give me a call at the station to get the info for the race...I went to Yankee Stadium a few weeks ago and it was like I was a little kid in little league again...It was a great, but long day...My buddy, Todd Ash almost got us thrown out and beat up for trying to cut into the Monument Park line...I didn't even know that he was trying to get us to cut the line...There were some people that weren't to happy with us...I hope to see you on the 3rd & 22nd, until then...See you on the radio....Dan

Keys, Yankees & other things
A big THANK YOU to everyone that played the WCKM Treasure Chest contest...We have been doing this for awhile and this year's contest was absolutely nuts...We are already getting ready for next year...Pete wants to do a 3 strikes and your out for next year's contest...I'd love to hear what you think about that...You're the one playing the contest...I went to Yankee Stadium to watch the Yanks beat the Blue Jays 5 to 1...I hadn't been to Yankee Stadium since I was 19...We had a blast...It wasn't that hard to get to but there is no way I could live in NYC...That's just too much for me...This area has it all over down there...The "Highlight" of the day was paying $26 for 2 sodas & 2 orders of fries!!!!!!!!!!!!! One visit to the concession stand was enough for me...I would have to take out a small business loan to get something to eat again...I guess I shouldn't complain too much, we had a great time in the old stadium...We took a wrong turn when we left, not hard to do with all the construction and ended up in Harlem...I was just clueless but found my way home somehow...We are gearing up for Summer Jam 08 at East Field on July the 3rd...4 of our staff members will be playing at the show...It should be a good one and it'll be our 1st one with the Alonzo fireworks folks out of Mechanicville...Just some friendly words of advice, get your tickets now and don't get stuck waiting in line on the 3rd...I'll have more to come about the show soon...One more thing...I want to thank everyone at Johnsburg Central School for having Ken & me there to talk to the students...The kids were fantastic...We both look forward to speaking to them again next year...See you on the radio...Dan

It's been a great year!
My granddaughter, Sophia Mae or as we call her Sophie turns one on the 17th...It's been a fantastic year watching her grow so far...I know it's only been a year but it has been great...I take my job as one of Sophie's grandfathers, she has 3, very seriously...I try to make her laugh as much as possible, run around as much as possible, kiss and hug as much as possible and make as many weird noises as possible...As you can tell, I'm like Juile from the LOVE BOAT..I'm like the entertainment director...I'm just glad I'm as "young" as I am to keep up with her...Sophie has an engine that just won't quit...Sophie's parents, Sarah & Sean are great parents and are doing a super job...I'm looking forward to Sophie getting into her birthday cake, making a mess and making me smile...For Sophie, that's not hard to do...Happy Birthday Sophie...That's all for now...Sophie's Papa...AKA Dan

Hockey, Baseball & Sandcastles
I can finally say it out loud...I MISS HOCKEY...Watching the Rangers in the playoffs has been a lot of fun...A buddy of mine is a Devils fan and he didn't take so badly...For a change...I know Brian is hitting the panic button about the Yankees Pitching but I'm my concerned about their hitting...How I Met Your Mother is one of the staff's favorite shows and this week's episode didn't let us down...Robin Sparkles "New" video with Alan Thicke & Tiffany's cameos were FUNNY...He's from the Great White North...Sandcastles in the Sand...Barney was right...It will be perfect for a femine hygine product...Barney & Robin hooking up...I don't know what's up with that...That show is excellent...Back to hockey...I love the playoffs for overtimes and game 7's...You can get into it without a rooting interest...Maybe someday...That's all I got...See you on the radio...Dan

Time to face the truth...I'm not 25 anymore!
As the title tells you, it's time for me to face the truth...I'm not 25 anymore...it's tough to think about it but my body is yelling at me for years of athletic abuse...Football, wrestling, baseball, hockey, softball, golf...name it, I've probably done it...my soon to be 43 year old body is getting tougher to get going after years of my own stupidity and after all of those stupid things, yard work may be my final undoing...I was taking care of the leaves and other junk Wednesday night at the house and I was pulling my large can, not the one attatched to my body and I felt and something tear in my right shoulder...my softball career or lack of it is in peril...I'm going to rest the should, the one I throw with for a few weeks and see how it is after that...the thing I love most about playing softball is the crew that I have been with for the past 15 years...believe it or not it's not about playing softball, it's about the hanging out with the guys and their families after the games...we've been thru everything together and they are my best friends and I don't want to lose that...I'll sit out for a few weeks and see if this old body can be good enough for another run in a little bit...if you find the Fountain of Youth, let me know...Dan

A bit lax
I'm sorry that I haven't blogged in a while...I must have been doing something else...We are getting into our busy season around the Radio Ranch and we have 2 new folks that will be showing up on the stations and at station events...Our 2 summer interns are Darrin now known as DA and Bobbie...Both are very bright and energetic...I look forward to having them around as soon as school ends...Pete & I recently passed our 10th year working together as the Morning Club...In the radio world that is highly unusual...With Jim Scott on the news and the 5th Beatle, Dave Thomas, we try to entertain and inform you every morning...After 10 years of doing mornings with the guys, I still look forward to each & every morning...I think the guys are up for another 10 years...I don't know how their wives feel about that though...I'm just fortunate to work with people that truly love what they do...Enough of the sappy stuff, I need to wake up Pete, Jim & Festus from their naps...I also want to pass on that Pete & I had a blast with the Rockin' 70's Great Gold Plus show that we did for Kip when he took the day off...When we do those shows, it reminds me how much we done in the past with many recording artists...It's a different show than we normally do but we have a blast doing those...Until next time...See you on the radio....Dan

Psychedlic Saturday Returns
Pete and I will be gust hosting for Kip Grant's "Great Gold Plus" on Saturday March the 8th from 6 to 10. We always do something a little different when we guest host GGP. We have done a few Psychedlic Saturdays and it's always fun. If there's something you'd like us to play, give us the heads up so that we can get it if we don't have it.
Morning Traffic
We both wanted to send out a quick note of thanks to all of those that were giving us updates on the traffic this morning. It helps to hear from everyone that is out there. Downtown over into South Glens Falls traffic was a mess. Thanks to everyone for checking in.

The New Blogs
All of this blog stuff is very new to all of us here at the radio ranch. Ken and Brian will have new blogs set up in the coming days. They will be blogging on all sorts of stuff. They are both very well versed with sports, but they will also be blogging on other things as well. I'm trying to get Pete up to speed on this, but he is afraid of the computer except to book his airfare and his ebay junk. Wish me luck in getting Pete on the computer....Dan

The worst movies of all time!
Pete & I did a quick survey a few weeks ago of "The Worst Movies Of All Time". We had a blast with the callers that called in their worst movies. I start with Weekend At Bernie's and the sequel. Weekend At Bernie's II! Why? Like the 1st one wasn't bad enough. We'd still love to hear your worst movies of all time still. Just drop us a line to let us know yours. We'll revisit this in a couple of weeks...Dan
