Miner...Back in his 20's

I'm not in my 20's in age but in the 20's, the 2-20's with my weight...I weighed in at Weight Watchers last night and I weighed in at 229...That was a private goal that I set for myself before my r-n-r time...I hate to say it has been easy but it hasn't been difficult...I lost a total of 5.4 pounds last week...Wish me luck on vacation...That's all I've got for now...See you on the radio...Dan

It keeps on going

Another week and 3 more pounds off...I've lost 33 so far and there is no end in sight...I'm happy with the way things are going so far...It's Thursday and I'm going back to do a "little" PA work on the Glens Falls Civic Center microphone...I'm doing the intros tonight for Senior Night for the South High Bulldogs and their regular PA announcer is a senior so...I was asked to do the Rats last game on the 7th but it was my daughter's birthday so I had to "scratch" myself from the game...That's it for now...See you on the radio...Dan

Back From Lake George

Pete and I just got back from the Lake George Winter Carnival and the place was jamming...I don't recall in the last 10 years that many people out at the carnival...The beach was wall-to-wall people...It was good to see everyone and the weather was fantastic...That's all I've got...See you on the radio...Dan

Perfect and 30 gone

First on the Superbowl...I thought is was an entertaining game...Second, I picked the score dead on...The score I wrote on Friday was the one that was dead on and the socre I posted on the blog was off by one, so I'll stick with the one that was perfect...I just got back from Weight Watchers and I'm happy to report that I lost 7 pounds last week bringing my total to 30 pounds gone from where I started 5 weeks ago...I have one word...WOW...My weight now stands at 237...Thanks to everyone for their support including my co-workers that want to feed my pizza, donuts and other things that aren't very good for me...It just shows that my will to succeed is strong...Bring it on...I can honestly say that I haven't watched one second of American Idol this season...It just bores me and makes me wonder whose America is it that idols a bunch of whiny no-talent bums that can't hold a candle to any of the performers on South Street on any given weekend...Did I mention that I lost another 7 pounds...One more thing...My wife, Lisa, signed me up at facebook.com and I must admit to having some fun connecting with old classmates, old friends, family and former co-workers...It's been fun...One more thing again...Happy birthdays going out this Saturday, the 7th, to the owner of WCKM, Clay Ashworth...He's like 50 or so...Happy birthday to the Gardenboy, Ken Leccese, 43 this week...Happy b-day K-Dog...Let's keep it going for another 20...And a very happy birthday going out to our daughter, Sophie's mom, Sarah Jo, celebrating another one on Saturday...Hope you all have a great day...That's all I've got...See you on the radio...Dan

Down & Dirty

It's been a crazy week with the weather and everything else going on...First thing is that I lost another pound this week...That's not alot but I'm not disappointed...As far as the Superbowl goes, I'm picking the Steelers to beat the Cardinals 28-23...I love the Kurt Warner story, he seems like a good guy, but I have go with the Steelers with the pressure they can bring on the defensive side of the ball with just 4...That being said, I just read what Ken Leccese wrote on his blog, "The Greenhouse Effect", and now I'm concerned with the Leccese Curse...Steelers fans everywhere RUN FOR THE HILLS!!!
