Time to Jam, Drive and watch where I'm going!
It is nuts around the radio ranch this time of the year...1st there's Summer Jam 2008...For 21 years on the 3rd of July everyone gets together for some rock n' roll, friends & fireworks...This year I absolutely love the line-up...Classic rock with RGB 3 with Shawn Kelly...Then the Kings Of Stupid Mountain...I wonder if I'll get to sing with the boys...Then Dave McDonnell, Joey Delsignore & Paul Muse of the Marcabes with their friends...Max, Cluctch, Gator & Eddie...I can't wait to listen & see the guys...Paul Muse is one of the best musicians ever out of this area...The guys have been practicing hard and are looking forward to playing the Jam crowd...The headliners are Beginnings, the best Chicago tribute band in the country...We are also working with the world famous Alonzo Fireworks folks out of Mechanicville...For $3 you won't find a better deal this summer...I hope to see you there...On top of getting ready for Summer Jam, our 9th annual Morning Club celebrity go-cart race at Adventure Racing is coming up quick on July 22nd...To watch 30 plus adults get out and race in go-carts for 6 charities is a blast...It's fun and easy to get into...Just give me a call at the station to get the info for the race...I went to Yankee Stadium a few weeks ago and it was like I was a little kid in little league again...It was a great, but long day...My buddy, Todd Ash almost got us thrown out and beat up for trying to cut into the Monument Park line...I didn't even know that he was trying to get us to cut the line...There were some people that weren't to happy with us...I hope to see you on the 3rd & 22nd, until then...See you on the radio....Dan

On Monday July 14, around 7:45, I tuned in to the Morning Club in time to hear the fun of Pete reminiscing about "old times"--and of course Dan being too young to know about stuff like Fess Parker starring in both Davey Crockett and Daniel Boone roles! I'm a few years younger than Pete, and thought Fess Parker was almost as cool as Paul McCartney!! I'm also old enough to have seen the Tonight
Show when Ed Ames threw the tomahawk :) Didn't hear the rest of
the MC show, after 8 a.m., wondered if anyone called in to correct Pete about his comment on the "Circus Boy" tv show--it was Mickey Dolenz, not Mike Nesmith, who was a child star in that. Mike
Nesmith's mom is known to have introduced the business world to a little helpful product called correction fluid, i.e., "white out",for all of us error-prone typists in the pre-computer days.
